Managing Directors, Colin & Jeff Richardson (Brothers) officially opened Dunelm Car Sales on 1st April 2011 (wow how time flies!) and the company became 'Limited' on 1st December 2013. We have rapidly become one of the largest independent retailers of 'hatchbacks' in County Durham and are the only garage in Durham to offer an unrivaled 'Lifetime Guarantee' on all of our retail cars.
Since opening we have sold thousands of cars throughout the region, with many customers returning for additional vehicles and servicing. Our workshops are so busy that we currently change around 5,000 litres of engine oil per year.

Balloons Sell Cars!
There’s an old saying in the motor-trade that says, "Balloons sell cars"... That’s why here at Dunelm we currently go through around 5,000 balloons and over 1,500 meters of balloon ribbon every year! If you’ve ever been to a trade fair or exhibition you’ll have noticed the same applies there too. Anything that moves will attract the most attention. For example, a moving robot or a product on a turntable with music will always attract the most amount of people. The same idea applies to promoting and selling cars with the bouncing balloons. That’s why here at Dunelm we love getting the balloons out at the weekend and tying them to our cars, especially outside, weather permitting. If you have any other ideas on promoting our cars, please send us an e-mail or drop your comments into our ‘suggestions box’ in the middle of the showroom! We have now been trading six years. During this time, Dunelm Car Sales has sold thousands of cars to customers throughout the UK, many of whom have recommend us to their friends and family which alongside our competitively priced used cars has added to our success. Our retail customers of 2016 were asked to survey us and we were judged on four different criteria: customer satisfaction; brand choice; our sales technique and overall dealer excellence. We are pleased to say the results of the survey showed that 98% of the people who responded would recommend us to a friend and would use us again when considering there next car purchase.
